Metropolis

Down the road, once again
and I see those buildings,
rushing in and out of sight.
As I am speeding up
they appear notorious at every corner,
prestige and ambition driving them on.
I become overwhelmed
to lose my thoughts
while the lights wake up brighter.
Suddenly, my need to run strikes me,
run a s long as I breathe,
rest, for no reason.
Following the train’s rails
to everywhere being
to existing as far and as near.
I’m falling for this
attached to the noise;
the metropolis – is growing into me.
